I'm sorry, but WTF are you talking about? "How fucked are we?" Seriously?

This is awesome! Internet should have been declared a utility over 10 years ago. Now no companies can charge us as customers or other business "extra fees" just because they feel like it. The internet needs to be an open street where everyone is allowed to pass freely, not just those that pay extra for a "fast lane".

I'm not against the idea of net neutrality. But you need to consider what else comes along with big daddy gubment being the one to enforce it, by declaring itself the grand exalted ruler of all things internet. The potential for shenanigans in the name of anything but net neutrality is staggering.

Besides which, we are definitely still going to be getting extra fees. You will have additional taxes levied on your internet bill purely by it now being considered a utility. Plus FCC regulatory fees, and ISP legal fees which they will be passing down to us as they battle over this stuff in court for years to come.
